Reporting from Las Vegas

I have been working at a structural company titled Martin & Peltyn, in Las Vegas for almost a month now and am having a nice time. It sure is HOT out here.

I had two good news in this week:
1. My sister gave birth to a handsome boy on Sunday 13th (Man how I wish I could catch the next available mode of transportation and reach Hyderabad).
2. My dearest friend Surabathula Siva Surya Prakash (first room-mate ever) completed his MS program at the NorthWestern University, in Chicago, and is all set to launch in the famed American Corporate world.

I am *busy* right now and will start writing a regular blog instead of the present pattern of writing it sporadically, at my earliest convinence. Till then take care and may God Bless All.

Almost everything in my life has been serendipitous. It was like one rope leading to a point, that I thought was a kind of summit, and then another leading to the next and so here I am as of now after some mind boggling experiences.
Finally as a Structural Engineer, we work quietly behind the scenes to make buildings happen. Without engineers, structures would tumble like a deck of cards. Unlike Architects, who often have high public profiles, engineers are mostly anonymous. We are the unsung heroes, translating a concept or vision into a brick-and-mortar reality.

Librians are born between September 23rd and October 23rd
They are a charmer, always a popular addition to any social situation, and enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them. They are also good at settling disagreements between others. They have a gift of tact in that they know when they are about to put their foot in their mouth, and they withdraw. They are highly relationship oriented, and they like to have a lot to do with people as opposed to a little. Arty persuits make them happy.

Despite this sign's association with "relationships, harmony and diplomacy", Libras don't always find that it is a simple matter to meet the perfect mate. In fact finding a mate does seem to be a struggle for most Libras. Perhaps it is their fixation on pleasing others, or the constant need to see the other person's point of view that stymies them.

12/26/04: Bought my ticket to Las Vegas (4th Jan) & dropped the idea of going to Chicago for New Year celebrations.

Spent time with mama & nana - had dinner at Austin (drove 200 miles)

12/16/04: Had a interview in Dallas (drove 400 miles)

12/15/04: Had decided to meet 'P', but things didn't work out.
Had a almost a night out, and Mandar left for India at 4AM.

12/13/04: Talked to Steve (My Boss) and got the Job Offer â though officially the letter will be here in a week.
...................................

12/11/04: No matter how many times you save the world, it always manages to get back in jeopardy again!
I feel like the maid; "I just cleaned up this place! Can't you keep it clean for ten minutes!"

They keep inventing new ways to celebrate mediocrity :> "The incredibles"
